Advocacy in the Field
For many in the UK agricultural sector, the name Weeks is synonymous with hardware that doesn’t quit. I was brought up in the Weeks Trailers household, where “good enough” never was. I learned early on that if a machine isn’t farmer-proof, it isn’t fit for purpose. That foundation of practical engineering is the heartbeat of Weeks Energy.
A Decade of Site Experience: I have been immersed in the biomass industry for over 12 years. My career began at the coalface—installing complex systems for the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC), managing large-scale estate heating, and overseeing commercial operations. I’ve lived through the early days of the RHI and seen exactly what happens when a system is poorly documented.
The Insider’s Perspective: In 2020, I moved into a senior role at NFU Energy. Working at that level gave me a unique “insider” view of energy consultancy. However, I realised that while large firms are excellent at spreadsheets, they often lack the appetite to get out into the yard when a client is facing a brutal audit. I founded Weeks Energy to provide a bridge: combining high-level regulatory knowledge with the hands-on engineering experience required for the NDRHI.
Our Philosophy: We don’t just “consult.” We advocate. Whether I am standing on the cliffs of Garroch Head—where my father famously bailed out of the experimental Blackburn B20—or standing in your plant room, the goal is the same: We protect your assets. We speak the truth. We get the NDRHI job done.
“You wouldn’t buy a trailer from a man who’s never moved a load of grain. Why take RHI advice from someone who’s never bled a pump or sat through a four-hour audit?”
